BrowserDock Privacy Policy
BrowserDock is a Chrome extension that helps you organize and synchronize bookmarks across your signed-in devices.
Information we collect
When you sign in with Google through Firebase, BrowserDock receives and stores your email address and display name. BrowserDock stores the bookmark titles, URLs, folders, ordering, pinned state, profile settings, and device-session information needed to provide your selected BrowserDock profiles.
How we use information
We use this information only to authenticate you, provide bookmark organization, synchronize your profiles, maintain account security, and support offline changes. BrowserDock reads native Chrome bookmarks only when you explicitly choose to import them. After import, BrowserDock does not modify or continuously synchronize native Chrome bookmarks.
Storage and service providers
Your BrowserDock data is stored using our backend and MongoDB Atlas. Firebase Authentication is used for sign-in. BrowserDock keeps a local cache, session credentials, and pending offline changes in your browser so the extension can work offline and reconnect securely.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate BrowserDock, such as Firebase and MongoDB Atlas.
Retention and deletion
You can delete BrowserDock profiles from within the extension. Deleted profiles are retained temporarily for internal recovery and are not exposed in the product. You may contact us to request assistance with account data.
